"Reverse" Atari USB Power Cable - How To Make

11/14/2022

What's a "Reverse" Atari USB power cable? It's the opposite of an Atari USB power cable ...of course! :)
Here we're making a cable that connects to the 7-pin round DIN connector of your original Atari 8-Bit power supply. The other end of the cable we're making has a Female USB Type A connector. This will allow you to test your old Atari power supply with a USB power tester that you can purchase online or at your favorite local spot.

A nice side benefit is, depending on the USB tester you have, you can also monitor the Amperage draw your Atari computer and connected accessories are drawing off of your Atari power supply.

As always, enjoy the video. And, if you decide to perform any of these projects yourself, please be careful, and do so at your own risk.
